Amis Integres Commends SSG's Strategic Role, Seeks Mentorship, Involvement in Research for Development

  


The Secretary to the Cross River State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, extended a warm welcome to members of Amis Integres during a recent meeting.

In his remarks, Prof. Enoh commended the group for its thoughtful choice of name, "Amis Integres," emphasizing the significant responsibility that comes with bearing such a title.


He urged the members to consistently uphold the values of integrity in their service to the University, noting the importance of maintaining high moral standards in all their endeavours.


Prof. Enoh further expressed the government's willingness to support initiatives that would positively impact the state, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to fostering development.
Encouraging the members of Amis Integres to remain diligent, courageous, and innovative in their pursuits, Prof. Enoh pledged his ongoing support to the group, assuring them of his readiness to assist in their future endeavours.


Speaking earlier the Chairman of Amis Integres Dr. Victor Ndifon, had acknowledged the strategic role played by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in the state's administration.


Dr. Ndifon outlined key requests on behalf of Amis Integres, emphasizing the need for mentorship aimed at driving impactful change and for Amis's involvement in research geared toward policy development.


Supporting the discussion, Engr. Dr. Anderson Etika noted the organization's commitment to contributing to the state's progress. He mentioned the presence of a diverse array of competent professionals within Amis Integres, all of whom are eager to collaborate with the SSG's office in advancing the state's development agenda.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. During the meeting, Engr. Egbe emphasized the importance of safeguarding all critical public infrastructure and ensuring close collaboration between the Ministry of Public Utilities and the NSCDC in achieving the Governor’s vision for a sustainable and secure state. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
