By Kingsley Agim The Obong of Calabar and Treaty King of the Efik Kingdom, His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, has called on all those disenchanted by his re-emergence after the Supreme Court's judgement of January 13, to reorder their priorities and begin to put the will of the people above their personal interests. Recall that on January 13, 2023, the Supreme Court, in a unanimous judgement read by Justice Amina Augie, affirmed the decision of the Court of Appeal on the disputed stool, and ordered that a fresh election for the position be conducted, where Edidem Otu V was duly re-elected by the kingmaker in line with the directives of the apex court's judgement. UNICAL holds Research Fair and Exhibition

Pro-Chancellor, University of Calabar, Retired General Martin Luther-Agwai, has flagged off the Research Fair and Exhibition of the institution as part of the activities lined up to climax the convocation ceremony. Luther-Agwai, a former Chief of Army Staff, lauded the VC for promoting research and quality teaching in the institution, stressing on the need for the university to partner with relevant corporate and government agencies to promote such exhibitions.
