C'River Commandant Among Dignitaries to Receives Meritorious Service Award in Calabar

The Commandant Peace Corps of Nigeria, Cross River State Command, Patriot Dr. Okweche Dominic Odey is among the dignitaries to be honoured with the "Meritorious Service Award in Calabar, Cross River State.

The event is organized by the Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (Yowican) and it is scheduled for August 22.

In their letter notifying him of his nomination for the award, the organisers described Dr. Okweche as a Crossriverian who has been relentless in his  discharged of duties and also obeying government directives and enforcing it during Covid-19 enforcement exercise in the State.

The organisers added that they are well encouraged by the State Commandant activities and he has distinguished himself as an epitome of sincerity and hard-work.

They also used the opportunity to pray for God goodness and mercy upon the State Commandant and More strength for effective service to God and Humanity

Reacting to the organisers Dr. Okweche said words of appreciations to them for the honour done to him and Peace Corps of Nigeria and promised to hopefully be around to grace the occasion and receive the award.

BREAKING NEWS: Youths of Ikot Ansa Nab Vandals Destroying Public Utilities, Hand Over to Authorities for Prosecution

  In a combined effort to curb the rampant vandalism of public utilities in Cross River State, the youth leader of Ikot Ansa, Prince, Victor Otu Iso JR, alongside his community, successfully apprehended criminals involved in the destruction of vital public infrastructure. The vandals were caught red-handed this morning, 13th day of September 2024, as they attempted to steal Amor cables belonging to state transformers at Ekpo Iso. Engr. Egbe Commends Governor Otu for Flag-Off of Subsidized Mini Tractors Distribution
