TEAM DC SOLAR STOVE TO REPRESENT CRUTECH AS WINNER OF HULT PRIZE CHALLENGE

 



The Hult Prize challenge of Cross River State University of Technology has announced team DC SOLAR STOVE as the winner of hult prize challenge.


Hult Prize which theme this year is "Food for Good, for sustainable development".


 Hult Prize urged young people to envision their possibilities as leader of Change in the world.


This year Crutech Hult Prize challenge was held at the bridge leadership foundation mini hall and the five group that made it to finals include; DC STOVE, JEMK CYCLE Farm, Organic Farm, Ekig Much Boost and Think Hana.


All the groups did excellently well, above average and showcased their prowess in entrepreneurship in providing lasting solution in the world they find themselves and beyond.


Since in every competition they must be a winner, the DC SOLAR STOVE came out first with a well designed prototype DC SOLAR STOVE for all.


During the testimonies of the teams or competitors, they stated their challenges, benefits and experience they had during mentoring stages.


Vivian Ubani, the Crutech Director in her views about the competition stated that the competition was impactful, highly competitive, skill oriented and solution based in taking over the world through entrepreneurship.


She added that no one is a loser because everyone did above average but in all Crutech must have a group to represent them and urged other groups to support the winners till the end.


She appluded them and asked them to push for other opportunities which are everywhere, for this programme is an eye opener to other greater opportunities.


Also addressing the competitors Prof. Babson Ajibade, urged all teams to go back and look into their product and ideas, polish it the more, let it stand a test of time, so that they can be seen at the top.


Ajibade added that, he's no more in the future but the students are the future and they should work hard through bringing out innovation that would be sellable internationally.


Prof. Concluded that everyone that participate in the hult prize challenge is a winner and he congratulated and wish them well in their endeavors.
