By Kingsley Agim

Cross River State Head of Service, Barr. (Mrs.) Geraldine Akpet-Ekanem has described Late Sir Wilfred Inah as a "consummate administrator," whose antecedents have remained a reference point for workers in the State.

The newly appointed HoS made the remarks, recently, during a condolence visit to the family of Late Sir Wilfred Inah, in the deceased residence at Federal Housing Estate, Calabar.

Barr. Akpet-Ekanem recalled that Sir Inah was one of the foremost Permanent Secretaries in the State, renowned for his wit and astuteness, with the guts to withstand military administrators and insist on things to be done rightly.

The Head of Service admonished the deceased wife, Mrs. Kosi Oden Inah and the entire family to be consoled by the worthy legacies their patriarch left behind, hoping that he is resting in a better place, devoid of problems of the world.

She bade the deceased repose in God's bosom and prayed God for grace and strength for the family as they deal with the pain of such monumental loss.

She also promised to the family of utmost support throughout the funeral arrangement of Late Sir Inah.

In her response, the deceased widow, Mrs. Kosi Oden Inah, on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude to the Head of Service and the College of Permanent Secretaries for the gesture, pointing out that the visit has provided a huge moment of respite for her grieving soul.

Narrating the unsavoury story of her husband's demise, the distraught  Mrs. Inah said she is now stronger, as she is facing the reality of her darling husband's demise.

The Head of Service was accompanied on the visit by members of the College of Permanent Secretaries.
