Environment: CP drums up support for Cross River State Environmental Protection Agency



The New Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kayode Sikiru Akande on Wednesday 3rd day of February 2021 received Cross River State Environmental Protection Agency (CREPA) who paid him a courtesy visit to the state command in appreciation of the supports the Cross River State Government has been enjoying from the police in past years.


Akande welcomed the Agency and applauded the governor for creating the agency, which is one of the major component in a growing society.


CP added that Cross River State is known and respected for the beauty of her environment and so the is need to protect and guide it with care for the State to continue to maintain its place as the most beautiful and clean environment in the Nation.


He went ahead to pledge his support to the agency and Cross River State Government and promised to work with the agency anytime, he is called upon, in order to protect the state environment.


According to Director General, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang, His visit was the unveiling of the roadmap towards achieving the agency set objectives and mandate given to them by His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade. He also lauded him on all his giant strides as a Mopol Commander and CP of Ogun State, that truly hard work and dedication pays in serving humanity with humility.


After the session with the CP, the agency Zonal Head, Hon. Odidi Ogar on a vote of thanks, applauded the CP for the reception and open door policy and promised that the will always run to him for advice for effective enforcement in protecting the environment.


The highlights of the visit was an award presentation by The CP to the DG on behalf of the Command to the Agency.
