Environment Protection: Adhere to Environmental Laws, Mboto Admonishes Cross Riverians

 



Cross River State Permanent Secretary on Security Dr. Mboto applauded The governor of Cross River State Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for awakening Cross River State Environmental Protection agency to enforce the protection of the environment.


Mboto went adhere to admonished Cross Riverians and residents of the state to strictly obey the directives of the Cross River State environmental protection agency which is coming from the State Government so as to safe guide the environment. 


In his words" if the environment is not protected, then the sustainability of livelihood is in danger and most of the pronounced hazard in the environment today is caused by Man and so they is need for environmental protection".


Dr. Mboto gave the charge during a courtesy call by the Cross River State Environmental protection Agency recently in his office at government house Calabar, noted that the confidence the governor has in CREPA is high and the personality in that agency are men that have stand the test of time, and with them the environment would be protected and the government would succeed.


Mboto concluded that security of the State is achievable when the environment is safe and went ahead to appreciate CREPA for visiting him and promised to do his best to give the agency the necessary backing as they discharge their duties.


Earlier, The DG of the Agency, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang, noted that this visit was to get a backing from the permanent secretary on security to the governor and stating clearly the mandate given to them by the governor in the protection of the environment while thanking Dr Mboto for his open doors policy that's ring bell across the State.


After the courtesy call a vote of thanks was moved by Hon. Ekuma Ngwu, who added that the permanent secretary on security is a well respected and intelligent gentleman, who has contributed to the well-being of the environmental protection and in ensuring the state is safe for all Cross Riverians. Thank you Sir, for welcoming us, he concluded.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR
