Ogoja/Yala Bye-Election: APC Kicks-off Door To Door Campaign, Solicits voters Participation ...As Jude Ngaji Recieves Party Flag

 


The All Progressives Congress (APC), Wednesday, kick-started its door to door campaign ahead of the February 26 Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency bye-election in Cross River State.


Speaking at the flag-off held in the Ogoja township stadium, the State APC Chairman, Barrister Alphonsus Eba, said with the popularity of the candidate, the  bye-election will be a work over for the party.


The Chairman, who described the party’s flag bearer in the February poll, Chief Jude Ngaji as “ Pro-People and the right person to take the people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency from political doldrums,” also appealed to the electorates to come out en-masse and vote for the APC,urging them to  guide their votes  until the results are announced  by the electoral umpire .


While expressing gratitude to the teeming supporters  that greeted the campaign, Eba maintained that victory for APC in the February 26 bye-election will be "a tip of the iceberg" of what is to come in 2023 general elections.


Also in his remarks, the Director General of the campaign organization, Ntufam Peter Ojie called on the electorates to pitch tent with the APC by voting for Jude Ngaji, referring to the candidate as “a man on the other side of humanity.”


In his speech, the leader of the 9th Cross River Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey also averred that victory for APC in the coming days will highlight the reality that indeed Cross River State has indeed socketed to the centre.


Another stakeholder and Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Stella Odey-Ekpo also charged the people to vote for the APC  in the forthcoming election, noting that as party faithfuls, they will continue to galvanize support for Jude Ngaji and the ruling party in Cross River State APC.


Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Ishabor  pointed out that it is an established reality that since the defection of Governor Ben Ayade to the APC, the entire State became APC, adding that victory for Jude Ngaji on February 26 will magnify such palpable reality.


The party’s flag bearer for the Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency bye-election, Chief Jude Ngaji thanked the supporters for reposing trust in him, assuring that when he  assumes office as member representing the good people of Ogoja/Yala federal Constituency,  his legislative achievements will have  direct impact on the  people and  improve their economic status directly. 


Various  speakers at the rally includes,the Members representing Yala I and II in the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Regina Ayogo and Hon. Cynthia Nkasi, the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Timothy Udam, Commissioner for Grant, Hon. John Ulafor, Director General of Cross River Waste Management Agency, Julius Okpotu, Henry Onwe, Mr. Sunday Oko, all alluding to the fact that Jude Ngaji is a product that speaks for itself, hence the reason for voting him to occupy the vacant Yala/Ogoja Federal Legislative seat.


A campaign itinerary released by the team shows a ward-to-ward political evangelism, punctuating the party’s resolve to win the February 26 election even onto the 2023 general elections.


High point of event was the presentation of party flag to Chief Jude Ngaji as the official candidate of the party APC, in Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency Bye Election.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr.
