Asuquo Ekpenyong Receives Hundreds of PDP Decampees Into The APC , Charges Them On Unity Ahead of 2023 polls

 


APC Senatorial candidate for Cross River Southern Senatorial district today received hundreds of decampees from the PDP to the APC in Bacoco ward 10 area of calabar Municipality. 


Speaking while receiving the decampees, Ekpenyong congratulated them for making the right step adding that " Based on the kind of candidates the APC is parading in Cross River it shows the party has great plans for Calabar Municipality and Cross River State at large."


He expressed optimism that the APC having shown itself to be trust worthy by being the only political party to respect the principles of zoning both at the national and the state level will record a clean sweep in the 2023 general elections. 


" The APC is the only party that has done the right thing by respecting the principle of zoning not just in the state but at the national level as well, and because of this I am certain the party will record a 100% success for all it's candidates come 2023. "


Speaking earlier, chairman of ward 10 in Calabar Municipality Mr Eze Ikoku thanked the senatorial candidate for making out time to come and receive the decampees. 


" We want to thank you specially because just yesterday we heard you were in Etomkpe to visit the family who lost four children in the unfortunate landslide some weeks ago and today you are here again to receive decampees from the PDP we are very happy to have you here with us today" 


Speaking on behalf of the decampees Chief Saviour Omin attributed their decision to the organization the APC has shown in the grassroots , adding that " We are prepared to work and deliver all APC candidates in the 2023 elections. 


High point of the occasion was the presentation of the APC broom symbol to the decampees. 


The event was witnessed by the APC candidate for the Cross River State house of assembly representing calabar municipality Mr Stanley Nsemo, leader of ward 10 Chief Stanley Effiom, chapter vice chairman of the party Mr  Magnus Edet Hon Henry Okon , Hon Linus Edet Oqua as well as party faithfuls.
