Sen. Jarigbe inaugurates 65km roads in C/River




Sen. Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe, representing Cross River North in the Senate, has inaugurated a 67 kilometres roads in Yala, Ogoja and Bekwarra local government areas in northern Cross River.


Inuagurating the road project at Alifokpa community in Yala local government on Saturday, Agom-Jarigbe, said that his constituents deserve nothing but the best.


He disclosed that the 65 kilometers Alifokpa-Yache road in Yala was awarded at N1.4billion by the Federal Ministry of Works.


He promised to attract more dividends of democracy to his senatorial district with a view to improve the socio-economic activities of his people.


"I am at the National Assembly to serve my people and protect their interest and welfare.


“I am happy to inaugurate the Alifokpa-Yache road because it will aid economic activities for both Yala and the Benue people as the road is connected from Yache to the boarder of Benue.


"The benefiting communities in Yala and Benue are all agrarian in nature and with this road, farm produce would easily be evacuated and it would also impact positively on the lives of the people.


“For me, better things are ahead and we shall conquer,” he said.


He also said that the Ikaptang-Afrike road which connects both Bekwarra and Ogoja local government areas is a 2 kilometer road.


He explained that the road would assist the people to be able to convey their goods to the markets for businesses.


The 65 kilometers road project is handled by Messrs RCES International Nigeria Limited.


Also speaking, Mr Anthony Monjok, a community leader from Ogoja, said that Sen. Agom-Jarigbe has never disappointed them since he went to the National Assembly. 


“Our Senator has not only attracted people-oriented projects, as we have seen today, but has empowered thousands of youths, women, farmers and traders across the zone with various skills.


"We, therefore call on him to continue to bring more dividends to us so that by 2023, we shall send him back to Senate,” he said.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr.
