GROUP DESCRIBES APC DEPUTY GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE AS TORCH BEARER OF DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP IN MBUBE

...shares Rice, Wrappers, Phones, Cash Gifts, Others From the nooks and crannies of Mbube in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State, a cheering crowd comprising of youths, elders, men and women devoid of political party interests and affinity, were hosted by the Leader of Cross River State House of Assembly and the State Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the 2023 General elections, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey in continuation of the Christmas celebration at his Idum-Mbube residence, to mark the 2022 Christmas boxing day celebration.
Receiving the crowd amidst joy and cheers, Rt Hon Odey expressed his pleasure for the overwhelming love showcased by all present, and reassured them of his continuous supports to his people. Also reiterated his readiness to never relent in his commitment to shape and add colors to each and every celebration opportunity for the benefit, pleasure and admiration of all sons and daughters of Mbube nation and Ogoja in general. Expressing their gratitude for the style, class, uncommon hospitality and reception displayed by the Leader, the crowd which was filled with joy declared their unalloyed support towards the projects of Rt. Hon. Odey, particularly his 2023 election. Re-assuring their chances of securing a resounding victory for the Governorship ticket of Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu and Rt. Hon. Peter across the polling units in Mbube and Ogoja at large. The people maintained that their structures are broad-based and non discriminatory, that it is a composite of all politically rooted forces comprising of all political parties, united focus and committed towards delivering victory for the All Progressive Congress, in favour of their great son of Mbube nation. The celebration featured distribution of bags of rice, wrappers, cell phones as well as cash gifts by Rt. Hon. Odey to the people who described his gesture as uncommon. The people showed appreciation and in joyful heart offered prayers for the humanitarian Leader. Rt. Hon. Odey also received members of the PROGRESSIVE DELIVERS, a political support group led by the Director General, Vera Ejue who assured the Deputy Governorship Candidate of their unflinching supports as a reward for the quality leadership history he has created, they crowned him TORCH BEARER OF DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP IN MBUBE. On the other hand, TEAM MA-ADIAHA 4 APC, led by Dr (Mrs) Margaret Opiah, described the choice of Rt. Hon. Peter Odey as the Cross River State All Progressive Congress Deputy Governorship Candidate as a DIVINE CHOICE for the party, drawing from his uncommon leadership strength from past records, and the wide acceptance it has received. They pledged their unflinching support to the All Progressive Congress and her Candidates in the 2023 general elections.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. During the meeting, Engr. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
