Speaker Williams, Leader Odey Attends Annual Thanksgiving And Bazaar Of St. Patrick Catholic Church

Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams, Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly and Candidate for Central Senatorial District and Rt. Hon. Peter Odey Leader of the State House and APC Deputy gubernatorial candidate on Sunday 11 December 2022 attended the 2022 annuel thanksgiving And Bazaar Of St. Patrick Catholic Church Iyamoryong, Obubra in grand style. Williams was accompanied to the event by the Youth Council Chairman of Cross River State and the Deputy gubernatorial candidate of SDP His Youthfulness Daniel Obo, Rt. Hon. Hillary Bisong, Deputy Leader of the State House, and full supporters of the Central Senatorial Candidate and Government Functionaries. In his Sermon, Reverend Father Francis Agantem Eworo commended Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams and Rt. Hon. Peter Odey for always visiting and supporting the House of God and it is only those that support God works that Christians will consider come 2023 general elections. The Spiritual father who took his reading in the Book of Isaiah 35:1-4, noted that the wilderness will be glad for his people and the power of fear is destroyed. "He also read James 5:7-10 and talked about patience in serving the Lord and that's the only way to receive abundance of the early and latter rain. “I want to appreciate Speaker, on-behalf of the St. Patrick Catholic Church Iyamoryong, Obubra, we thank you, God bless you. “Williams is a great giver, he don't vow, and that's why he's progressing in politics". Responding, the Candidate for Central Senatorial District Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams thanked Reverend Father Francis Agantem Eworo for making himself a rallying point for spiritual rejuvenation of the State and noting that this is his third time visiting the parish for same purpose because he saw him as an anointed man of God and he loved supporting the advancement of the kingdom. Reverend Father Francis Agantem later offered an intercessory prayer for the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jonah Williams , Leader Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, Deputy Leader Rt. Hon. Hillary Bisong, and other government functionaries. The theme of the 2022 Thanksgiving is Bazaar of Abundant Health and Wealth.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. During the meeting, Engr. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
