C'River Youth Council Pays Condolence Visit To Late Esther Bassey’s Family

The Youth Council of Nigeria Cross River State, on Thursday, visit the husband of the Late Hon. Chief (Mrs) Esther Bassey.
The group which consists of State Chairman and all local government coordinators of NYCN in the Southern Senatorial District was at Bassey’s residence to visit his family over the death of his wife, the late Esther Bassey, Queen of the South.
The State Chairman, His Youthfulness Daniel Obo, led other members of the NYCN to condole with the family.
Late Hon. Esther Bassey, died on Friday, February 24, 2023, at the age of 50.
The deceased was a philanthropist and Calabar South Local Government Chairperson until her death.
Recall, the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, had on April 26, 2023, led delegations of Government officials from the state to the home of the Late Esther Bassey.
The NYCN has expressed their sympathy and prayed for the repose of the departed soul.
The Council saw the need to pay last respect to the family because of the personality of the late Queen of the South.
The group expressed further that they have learnt a lot from the late Chairperson and promised to stand and support the family at a time like this.
The husband, Mr. Peter Bassey, on behalf of his family, thanked the Council for their solidarity.
Added that as youths it was thoughtful and kind to remember someone that has been with them and lived a life for the betterment of others.
He further listed all those that have benefited from the late Esther Bassey and he doesn't want to mourn the wife because she lived a fulfilled life and it is time to let her go, so she will make heaven.
