Ayade bequeath Greatest Assest to Cross River in Prince Otu - Hon. Ekuma, Director CREPA

< v> The Director, Ecological Preservation and Special Duties, Cross River Environmental Protection Agency (CREPA), Hon. Ekuma appreciated the Outgoing Governor of Cross River State Prof Ben Ayade for his remarkable contributions and unflinching support leading to emergence of Senator Prince Bassey Otu as his successor.
In his words, Hon. Ekuma remarked that: "the emergence of Senator Prince Bassey remains the greatest asset Gov. Ayade bequeath to Cross Riverians, especially the youths. This is so considering is invaluable antecedents and philanthropic activities as Member of the National Assembly."
Hon. Ekuma Ngwu, JP also commended Prof Ben Ayade and his Deputy Prof. Ivara Esu for the rewarding opportunity avail him to serve the state in different capacities under their amiable administration, maintaining that History and posterity will be kind to Ayade for the massive Youths Empowerment during his 8 years in office.
Speaking to Journalists in Calabar, Hon. Ngwu reflected on the different opportunities provided by Prof Ben Ayade led Administration to showcase his talents and render remarkeable services to the people of Cross River State, first as Member Urban Development Council, State Consultant on Educational Services and recently Director, Environmental Protection Agency.
Ngwu, also seized the opportunity to thank his political Mentor, Rt. Hon Alex Ukam for the fruitful mentorship and firm support towards him always. The Chairperson of Biase Local Government Area, Hon. (Chief) Ada Charles was not left out in the encomiums, as he also appreciated her for finding him worthy to serve the people of Biase LGA as Chairman, Anti - Illegal Activities & Businesses. Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. During the meeting, Engr. Egbe emphasized the importance of safeguarding all critical public infrastructure and ensuring close collaboration between the Ministry of Public Utilities and the NSCDC in achieving the Governor’s vision for a sustainable and secure state. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
