Season of Giving: Prince Charles Ekanem, Former Aide to Ayade, Extends Generosity with Rice and Cash Donations to Calabar Municipality Ward 5 Members


Embracing the festive spirit of the Yuletide season, Prince Charles Ekanem, a former aide to Senator Prof Ben Ayade, the immediate past Governor of Cross River State, demonstrated generosity on December 21st, 2023. In a heartwarming gesture, he distributed bags of rice accompanied by cash to the party stakeholders within Ward 5 of Calabar Municipality.


During his address, Prince Charles Ekanem emphasized that his benevolent gesture stemmed from a genuine desire to share what he has with the ward party members, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support in voting APC 5/5 in the last general election. He extended heartfelt appreciation to the Ward Leaders, Party Executives, and stakeholders, acknowledging their steadfastness and belief in the All Progressives Congress.


Prince Charles also highlighted the unexpected support from Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, the representative of Cross River South Senatorial District. Senator Ekpenyong, unaware of Prince Charles's planned outreach, generously donated 25 bags of rice, showcasing a spirit of benevolence that further amplified the impact of the community initiative.


Expressing gratitude, Mr. Alex Essien, the Ward Chairman,  thanked Charles Ekanem for his generous outreach, noting that he was the first in the ward to extend such gestures since the general election. Notably, Mr. Essien emphasized the sincerity of Prince Charles's actions, highlighting that this act of kindness occurred despite him not holding a major appointment in the state. He concluded by offering heartfelt prayers for God to replenish Prince Charles Ekanem's pockets.


The act of benevolence not only reflects Prince Charles Ekanem's commitment to community engagement but also underscores the importance of solidarity and shared joy during the holiday season. His outreach to the party members exemplifies a thoughtful contribution to the well-being of the community, fostering a sense of togetherness as they celebrate the festive occasion.
