CRGIA to stand out in terms of performance - Archibong

By Sylvia Okoi

The Director General of Cross River Geographic Information Agency, Mr. William Archibong Jnr has promised that the agency will stand out of the pack in terms of performance by exploring available technicalities within and outside its purview to ensure the most suitable land administration in the State.

Stating this when he received members of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Cross River State Chapter during a courtesy call in his office, Mr. Archibong informed that plans were on top gear to reposition the state's Geographic Information Agency (CRGIA) for optimum service delivery.

Aligning the  mandate of the Agency with Governor Bassey Edet Otu's 'people first' mantra,  the DG expressed optimism that the present administration led by Governor Otu would increase sensitive land posture for the benefits of Cross Riverians. Anchoring his faith on God, he said "By God's grace we will get back to where we used to be and do even better."

Appreciating God Almighty for the opportunity to serve in the capacity of the DG, Mr. Archibong equally expressed gratitude to the Cross River State Government for finding him worthy of rendering his services in his given capacity. He  lauded the leadership of NIPR for sustaining the relationship between both bodies while pledging to strengthen the existing relationship.

Earlier, the State Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations Cross River State Chapter, Mr. Benedict Okache congratulated the newly appointed DG for his well deserved appointment, stating that over the years, the duo have enjoyed great partnership initiatives and prayed for continuity, recounting that NIPR has been major canvassers of CRGIA.

Describing CRGIA as a market place, the NIPR State Chairman recalled the robust activities of CRGIA which bothers on all land transactions in the State and sued for hardwork, commitment and accountability from the DG. He added that NIPR would do it's part in projecting the image of the agency in positive light with the aim of bringing investors and clients.

The meeting also had in attendance the Director of Public Relations & Marketing, Dr. Icha Mboto; Acting Director of Administration, Mrs. Alice Egere , who was represented by Mr. Ofem Samsonite; and the Director of Operations Mr. Philip Oligbo, represented by Mr. Ignatius Atsu.
