Cooperation with contractors is essential for successful project execution--Rt. Hon. Orok Duke


For successful project execution, community members must cooperate with contractors, stated Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, the Cross River representative in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).


The NDDC Commissioner made this appeal over the weekend during a meeting with leaders, women, and youths of the Eto Mkpe Yellow Duke community in Akpabuyo local government area. Duke, who was in the community to inspect the installation of solar lights, urged residents to allow contractors to complete their work, emphasizing that it serves the best interests of the community. He acknowledged that the current lights are insufficient but assured that efforts are underway to provide more.


Duke encouraged the community to remain receptive to contractors, promising that roads and other projects would be carried out in Eto Mkpe Yellow Duke and surrounding areas as long as he holds the NDDC Commissioner position.


Additionally, he urged them to fully support the Prince Bassey Otu-led administration, describing it as human-centered. Duke reiterated that his role in the NDDC is to address gaps and complement the state government's efforts in critical areas of need.


In response, several community members assured the NDDC Commissioner of their cooperation and requested more projects for their area.
