Empowering Central Senatorial District: Senator Eteng Jonah Williams' Commitment to Youth and Women's Economic Growth

The Senator representing the Central Senatorial District, Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, has been unwavering in his mission to uplift the Central Senatorial District through comprehensive training programmes for youths and women.

His strategic initiatives are geared toward fostering financial independence, equipping participants with skills essential for navigating the economic challenges facing the country.

Recognizing the importance of human capacity development, Senator Williams has focused on practical training in poultry farming, a highly lucrative sector, especially as the festive season approaches.

Participants have been provided with 50-day-old chicks, starter packs, feed supplies, drinkers, and funding to launch their businesses, laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth.

By taking this step, the Senator embodies the wisdom of the adage, “Teach me how to fish and not give me fish,” ensuring lasting empowerment for his constituents.

The Senator's commitment extends beyond poultry. Ongoing, a new agri-entrepreneurship training programme, focusing on crop production and pig farming, when completed  participants will be given starter packs.

These comprehensive programmes are designed to enhance self-reliance and curb crime by engaging youths in productive ventures.

Looking ahead, Senator Williams is set to host another impactful training session on November 18th and 19th 2024 at the Yakurr Guest House in Ugep.

This upcoming Programme will center on anti-child trafficking awareness and sensitization, addressing crucial social issues while reinforcing community safety.

I am pleading that beneficiaries should make full use of the opportunities and resources provided and with collective effort and responsible utilization of these tools, the Central Senatorial District could become a model of growth and stability.

Let us trust the process, stay committed, and work together to build a stronger, more prosperous Central.

With Senator Williams, the Central Senatorial District is blessed and better.
