The former Special Assistant to the Governor of Cross River State on Haulage, Pastor Sampson Ijo Obol, has commended Senator Eteng Jonah Williams for his remarkable contributions to tackling unemployment and improving the livelihoods of constituents in the Central Senatorial District.

In a recent interview with Detailing News on Monday, November 25, 2024, Obol noted the positive impact of Senator Williams' initiatives, particularly in human capacity development.

He stated that Senator Williams had trained 200 constituents in livestock farming during a two-day seminar at the Gold Palm Hotel in Ikom on November 8th and 9th, 2024.

The training included practical support such as day-old chicks, starter packs, feeds, drinkers, and grants to enable participants to immediately start their poultry farms.

Pastor Obol expressed his admiration for the Senator’s foresight, saying, “A man that's focused on human capacity development is a man we will follow and support.”

Furthering his support for Williams’ efforts, Obol noted that a separate training session, "For the Youths In Agric Entrepreneurship," was conducted on November 14th-15th, 2024. This initiative empowered another 200 constituents with skills in crops and pig farming, alongside starter packs and a ₦120,000 grant each.

In addition, Pastor Obol praised Williams for his commitment to combating child trafficking in the Central. On the heels of the previous training, Williams initiated another program that trained 150 constituents and provided ₦100,000 grants to participants, a move that Pastor Obol described as crucial for tackling societal challenges.

Expressing his gratitude for being part of Williams’ campaign team, Pastor Obol concluded, "Before Williams marks his two years in office, many more achievements will be recorded."
