Senator Eteng Williams Fights Child Trafficking Through Training, Empowers 150 Youths with 100,000 Grants

The National Productivity Centre (NPC) and Senator Eteng Jonah Williams of Cross River Central Senatorial District jointly organized a two-day training on child trafficking in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area.


Held at Yakurr Guest House from November 18-19, 2024, the training brought together over 150 participants from Abi and Yakurr local government areas.


Renowned resource persons, Elder Barrister Ofem O.Mbang and CSP Obeten Uket (Rtd) enlightened participants on various aspects of child trafficking.


Each participant received a ₦100,000 start-up package. The training aimed to combat child trafficking in the community.


Beneficiaries praised Senator Eteng Williams, promising to disseminate the knowledge in schools, churches, markets, and families. Odey Ojeka, a participant from Ijiman, Ugep vowed to sensitize students, while another participant from Usumotung/Abeugo in Abi Local Government Area, Eko Ikpai Eja hailed Senator Eteng as one of the best Senator Cross River State Central Senatorial District has produced. 


This initiative underscores Senator Eteng's commitment to protecting vulnerable populations and promoting community awareness.

BREAKING NEWS: Youths of Ikot Ansa Nab Vandals Destroying Public Utilities, Hand Over to Authorities for Prosecution

  In a combined effort to curb the rampant vandalism of public utilities in Cross River State, the youth leader of Ikot Ansa, Prince, Victor Otu Iso JR, alongside his community, successfully apprehended criminals involved in the destruction of vital public infrastructure. The vandals were caught red-handed this morning, 13th day of September 2024, as they attempted to steal Amor cables belonging to state transformers at Ekpo Iso.
