Within just a year and six months in office, Senator Eteng Jonah Williams has implemented numerous projects aimed at improving the quality of life for his people. The senator has also prioritized access to clean water, launching solar-powered borehole projects in key communities, including Ijom in Ugep, Assiga, and Mkpani in Yakurr Local Government Area. In a bold step to address the region’s healthcare challenges, Senator Williams sponsored a bill to amend the Federal Medical Centres Act, seeking to establish a Federal Medical Centre in Ugep. Once passed, this legislation will ensure access to quality healthcare for the people of Cross River Central Senatorial District.

The senator's partnership with the Cross River State Ministry of Health has further bolstered his healthcare initiatives. Over 10,000 constituents have benefited from free medical outreach programs, which provided surgeries, deworming for children, and other essential treatments.

Understanding the importance of education, Senator Williams has awarded foreign scholarships to 12 youths for postgraduate studies abroad, with five beneficiaries hailing from Yakurr. Additionally, he has granted scholarships to 21 indigent students attending the Nigerian Law School, enabling them to pursue their legal careers.

The senator's support for youth development extends to sports, where he sponsored the Yakurr Unity Cup and the Sweet Prince Otu Cup 2024. These tournaments united communities, fostered peace, and showcased local talents, with over 200 secondary school teams participating.

To support rural farmers, Senator Williams distributed free fertilizers across the 66 wards in the district, boosting agricultural productivity. He also facilitated training programs worth over ₦100 million for 1,000 constituents, with beneficiaries receiving grants of ₦100,000 to ₦120,000. These efforts have empowered small-scale entrepreneurs and enhanced economic growth within the region.

Despite the ongoing smear campaigns led by political rivals, Senator Williams has remained undeterred, demonstrating that leadership is about results, not rhetoric. His focus on development, unity, and transparency has earned him widespread admiration across Cross River State.
