Sen. Eteng Jonah Williams Donates Educational Materials to Schools in Abi, Yakurr, Obubra

 


The distinguished Senator representing the Central Senatorial District, Sen. Eteng Jones Williams, has generously donated a significant batch of educational materials to over 20 schools across Abi, Yakurr, and Obubra Local Government Areas. This initiative is part of his ongoing commitment to enhancing education within his constituency.

The donated materials included hundreds of school bags, thousands of books, numerous calculators, and math sets, among other essential learning tools. These items were received with gratitude by head teachers, principals, pupils, and students of the various beneficiary schools.

Representing the Senator at the distribution event, Hon. Ayiba Ojong Ayiba, former chairman of Ikom LGA, formally presented the materials to both secondary and primary schools.

In delivering the Senator’s message, Hon. Ayiba emphasized the critical role of education in societal development and reaffirmed Sen. Eteng’s unwavering dedication to supporting learning at all levels, from primary to tertiary education. He stated that this initiative reflects the Senator’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and equipping students with the necessary resources for success.

The official flag-off of the distribution took place at Community Primary School, Itigidi, Abi LGA, where the Education Supervisor for Abi, Hon. Wilfred Inah, expressed profound appreciation for the Senator’s dedication to education. He assured that the materials would be distributed equitably among the intended beneficiaries.

In Yakurr, the Hon. Supervisor for Education, Hon. Godwin Thomas, lauded the Senator’s benevolence, acknowledging the positive impact of his intervention in the education sector.

Similarly, in Obubra, the Hon. Supervisor for Education, Comrade Onyam Egbe, described the Senator as a remarkable performer, noting that his contributions to education have earned him immense respect and admiration from the people of Obubra.

Hon. Ayiba further reassured the public of the Senator’s continuous commitment to educational advancement and overall community development.
