The African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), Cross River State Chapter, has extended its  congratulations to Dr. Victor Ndifon on his election as a member of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Governing Council, representing the congregation.

ACCE expressed immense joy at Dr. Ndifon’s emergence, noting that he has consistently distinguished himself as a trailblazer. As the Treasurer of ACCE Cross River State, he has demonstrated  dedication to academic excellence and leadership. His historic achievements date back to his days as a student at CRUTECH (now UNICROSS), where he became the youngest-ever Students’ Union Government (SUG) President. Today, he has once again made history as the youngest Governing Council member of the institution.

The election, held across the three campuses of UNICROSS on March 26, 2025 saw Dr. Ndifon, a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, emerge victorious with 452 votes, securing his place as the sole candidate from the teaching category.

Announcing the results, Prof. Thomas Ojikpong, Chairman of the Election Committee, disclosed that Dr. Emmanuel Etta, another contender from the teaching category, was disqualified following a court order restraining him and others from participating in the election.

Speaking on the significance of Dr. Ndifon’s election, Dr. Emmanuel Inyang, Coordinator of ACCE Cross River State, described it as a victory for academic progress and institutional development. He expressed confidence that Dr. Ndifon will bring his wealth of experience and expertise to enhance the growth of UNICROSS and foster a strong, cooperative relationship between the university and its Visitor, the Governor of Cross River State.

"We are extremely proud of Dr. Ndifon and firmly believe that his leadership will contribute meaningfully to the development of UNICROSS. His track record speaks volumes, and we are confident he will make a significant impact in his new role," Dr. Inyang stated.
