Cross River State has taken delivery of 79 more waste bins donated by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), courtesy of Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, the state’s representative on the Commission's Board. The new bins were officially received by the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi, in Calabar.
This latest donation brings the total number of bins distributed to the state to over 200, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance effective waste disposal and sustain Cross River’s image as a clean and green destination for tourism and business.
Rt. Hon. Orok Duke emphasized that the gesture aligns with the state's environmental vision and pledged that Cross River will continue to receive its fair share of benefits from the NDDC. He urged residents to make proper use of the bins and protect them from vandalism or illegal conversion to private use, warning against actions that could undermine the initiative.
