Senator Eteng Williams Lauds Transformational Leadership of Governor Bassey Otu as he Celebrates 2nd Year in Office



The Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has received commendation for his remarkable achievements and commitment to the “People’s First Agenda” as he celebrates his second anniversary in office. 

In a congratulatory message Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, noted that the governor was lauded for redefining governance through bold, people-focused policies. 

Senator Williams, on behalf of his constituents, praised Governor Otu for his focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, and other key sectors that have led to significant improvements in the quality of life across the state.

“Your Excellency, you have not only redefined governance but also shown the true essence of putting people first,” the senator noted. “Your strides in infrastructure and other critical areas are evident, and they continue to uplift the lives of our people.”

The Senator stated key milestones under the governor’s administration, including progress on the Bakassi Deep Seaport, the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) in Tinapa, and the commencement of construction on Section 3A/3B of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

He also applauded the synergy between the state and federal governments, which he said has opened doors for greater economic growth and development in Cross River.

As the state marks this significant milestone, Senator Williams extended prayers and goodwill to the Governor and his Deputy, wishing them divine guidance and protection in their continued service to Cross River State and Nigeria.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements.
