According to him "God has positioned us for service and he has a record of all of us. Whatever we do in secret will be opened before the eyes of God and there are questions for us to answer. I am not here to turn this place into a cartel. It's not me and it will not be me. Please, let's come together so we can implement the ideas we bring to the table. Let us keep aside ethnic sentiments and work together for the good of the faculty".

He urged the staff not to see him as a demigod and prayed God to help the younger ones to grow even above him.
