Orok Duke Felicitates Governor Bassey Otu at 66, Hails His Transformational Leadership

 



The Cross River State representative at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rt. Hon. Chief Orok Otu Duke, PhD, has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as a “leader divinely ordained to bring joy, hope, and transformation” to the people of the state.

In his goodwill message, Chief Duke lauded Governor Otu for his people-centered leadership, which he said has repositioned Cross River State on the path of inclusive growth and sustainable development.

“Sixty-six years ago, God blessed Cross River State with a leader destined not only to lead but to wipe away the tears of his people and put smiles on their faces,” Duke said. “You have steered the state toward greatness through your vision, humility, and relentless commitment to service.”

Highlighting some of the Governor’s achievements, Duke commended Otu’s strides in infrastructural expansion, economic stability, affordable healthcare, education reform, sports and tourism development, and security enhancement — from the highlands of Obanliku to the creeks of Bakassi.

“You are a leader who listens and acts, who serves selflessly, and who stays awake so that others may rest in joy,” he added.

Chief Duke further urged Cross Riverians to join hands in celebrating a Governor who has consistently put the people first, expressing optimism that the coming years would bring even greater progress to the state under his leadership.

“I wish His Excellency great wisdom, sound health, and prosperity as he continues to lead our state for the next six years and beyond,” Duke said. “At the Niger Delta Development Commission, we remain committed to partnering with your administration to drive development across Cross River State.”

He concluded by praying for divine strength and grace upon Governor Otu as he continues to pilot the affairs of the state toward lasting peace and prosperity.
