Fathia Zubair Bags Best-Behaved Graduating Student Award at Arthur Javis University

Fathia Temitope Zubair has been named the Best Behaved Graduating Student of the Nursing Sciences Department for the 2024/2025 academic session at Arthur Javis University, Calabar.

She received the award and cash donation from the Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Joseph Edet, during the department’s induction ceremony, where the institution honoured outstanding students for character, discipline, and professionalism.

Dr. Edet described Fathia as “a calm, exemplary and emotionally intelligent young nurse whose conduct reflects the values the University stands for.”

The Head of the Department of Nursing Sciences, Elder Mrs. Priscilla Bassey, along with other lecturers, also commended her humility, teamwork, and commitment to ethical nursing practice in both classroom and clinical activities.

Leaders of the Muslim community,Sheikh Abdulkadir Bature and the Secretary of the Cross River State Council of Imams and Scholars, Ustaz Kazeem Lawal, praised the University management for recognising one of their daughters, noting that the honour reinforces the value of discipline and moral upbringing.

Reacting to the award, her father, Alhaji Rasheed Olanrewaju Zubair, expressed joy, describing the recognition as the product of years of dedication and discipline.

“I am immensely proud of Fathia,” he said. “This award affirms her strong values, respectful conduct, and determination to excel.

I appreciate Arthur Javis University and every lecturer who contributed to her growth. She has made our family proud, and I pray this marks the beginning of greater accomplishments in her nursing career.”

Fathia, who was admitted into the university in 2020 with Registration/Track Number 20/341002, distinguished herself academically and socially throughout her stay on campus.

Her recognition drew warm applause from staff, students, and guests at the ceremony, cementing her place as one of the standout graduates of the year.
