…Commends His Continuous Support to the Administration of His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu

The Voice of Central Stakeholders, a socio-political support group in Cross River State, has declared its strong confidence in the Chief of Staff to the Governor, (Dr.) Emmanuel Ironbar, acknowledging his transformational leadership, unwavering commitment to service delivery, and his strategic political contributions towards the success of the People First agenda.

The group emphasized that Dr. Ironbar has remained a pillar in building and sustaining political structures across the state, leading from the front in ensuring the continued victory of the Second Team and the prosperity of Cross Riverians.

Reacting to recent misguided remarks credited to Austin Ibok, the group cautioned him to desist from making baseless and reckless statements. They urged him to first present evidence of his own loyalty and contributions to any leader or political institution, stressing that loyalty is earned through integrity and service — not bought or traded like merchandise. They described his quest for relevance as a clear sign of poor political reasoning and desperation.

According to the group, (Dr) Emmanuel Ironbar’s loyalty to His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, is time-tested and proven long before his emergence as Governor. They noted that (Dr) Ironbar has become a symbol of unity — loved in the South, respected in the Central, and admired in the North, making him an institution of hope and a voice for the voiceless.

The stakeholders further applauded his outstanding scorecard of commitment, describing it as “First-Class loyalty worthy of emulation.”

Speaking on the purpose of the Vote of Confidence, the Director General, Comrade Victor Bassey, explained that despite (Dr) Ironbar’s visible contributions, envy and jealousy have prevented some individuals from acknowledging his achievements. Therefore, the group deemed it necessary to openly reaffirm their support for him — particularly after witnessing his exceptional performance as the first Chief of Staff to build a statewide grassroots network known as “Prince Is Coming”, which now stands as the strongest political structure backing the Governor.

He emphasised that unity and love remain essential in protecting and promoting the welfare of Cross Riverians.

Comrade Bassey also commended His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for appointing (Dr) Ironbar as Chief of Staff and for demonstrating that loyalty and dedication will always be rewarded. 

He encouraged leaders across the state to follow suit — by recognizing and appreciating their supporters while in office and beyond.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
