Refining the System: A 7-Point Strategic Blueprint for Sustainable Growth of PGSG UNICROSS

We are dedicated and determined to accomplishing the underlined initiatives through synergy and strategy with relevant authorities for the realization of our ambitions, with an emphasis on "Refining the system" with the aim of guaranteeing PGSG UNICROSS growth and development.

1. EDUCATION: The nation's economy and the ethical reorientation of all its citizens are centered on education. Any society's ability to develop is directly connected with the standard of education that its members have access to. Our first priority is still education. In order to obtain scholarships for UNICROSS postgraduate students, we will establish strong connections with the PG School management and other pertinent authorities.

By offering free Internet services and distributing passwords to all qualified PG students, we will lessen the expense and stress of research for PG students and guarantee on-time graduation.

We will purchase a good generator as an alternative power supply with projector for the Association to enhance academic activities periodically.

We will work in alignment with the parliament to review the Association’s constitution to reflect the new change in nomenclature.

2. ENTREPRENEURSHIP: We will establish a "UNICROSS PGSG VENTURE" that is well-furnished, well stock, and managed by knowledgeable sales assistant in order to create several revenue streams. In addition to showcasing PGSG’s income, this project will function as one of its IGRs.

As an industrialist, skillful in the production of all kinds of Cosmetics (Perfume, Hair cream, Disinfectants, Room Air-fresher, Body Spray, After-shave etc.) I will organize skill acquisition programme where PG students will be trained on how to produce the above household products.

3. PUBLICATION:  To give more visibility to PGSG, we will create an annual Magazine called "VOICE OF PGSG UNICROSS," which will highlight relevant issues affecting us as a body. Through the placement of advertisements, this project will link PGSG with relevant groups both inside and beyond the state and serves as a source of revenue generation. Because each PG student at UNICROSS will have their photo included in the Magazine, this will help foster collaboration with satellite campuses.

4. INFRASTRUCTURE:  Maintaining governance continuity is one of our main objectives. PGSG UNICROSS has made significant progress under Comr. Ewelu Okoi's leadership. The acquisition of landed property for the PG lecture theatre is one example. We want to work together for the actualisation of this massive initiative.

For PG students, we will make sure the PG convenience room is well-maintained and completely renovated.

5. HEALTH: We will collaborate with the state's relevant health agency to provide free medical examinations to our members and implement a health awareness campaign to enlighten postgraduate students on how to maintain healthy lifestyle.

In order to ease the burden of academics and life in general, we will also organise a one-week social event for PG students, involving them in recreational activities such as dancing, swimming, and other types of physical activity in a very conducive environment.

6. APPRECIATING HARDWORK: In order to encourage all PG students, we would like to honour and acknowledge those who have over the years made significant contributions to the growth and development of PGSG. We'll reserve a day for this kind of event and publicly honour those who merit it.

7. ESTABLISHMENT OF PGSG FELLOWSHIP (PGSF UNICROSS): Our slogan is “God first.’’ Like the biblical injunction; “Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matt 6:33 (NLT). We will fix a particularly day where PG students will come together and seek the face of God.

With your sincere help, by God's grace, we will accomplish and complete all of our desires, and at the end, we will look back with delight and a sense of fulfillment and testify like Julius Caesar of old; “Vini Vidi Vici” (I came, I saw, I conquered).
