Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong Extends Christmas Package to Stakeholders, Releases ₦32 Million and 3000 Bags of Rice

 




Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong on Tuesday hosted stakeholders from across the Cross River South Senatorial District at Channel View Hotel, Calabar, where he unveiled his annual Christmas support package, disbursing ₦32 million in cash alongside 3000 bags of rice.

Addressing the gathering, the Senator reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to human capital development, highlighting sustained investments in scholarships, empowerment programmes, and job placement initiatives for youths across the seven LGAs of the district.

He noted that the gesture was in strong support of the Governor’s Christmas outreach, aimed at spreading relief, goodwill, and festive cheer to families and communities across the state. 

He further paid glowing tribute to Prince Bassey Otu for his people-oriented leadership, inclusive governance, and steadfast commitment to policies that prioritise social welfare, economic stability, and grassroots development.

In his remarks, Pastor (Hon.) Patrick Asikpo Okon, APC State Secretary, applauded Senator Ekpenyong for his consistent compassion and impactful representation over the past two years, describing the intervention as a practical demonstration of responsive, people-focused leadership that complements the Governor’s vision for an all-inclusive Christmas celebration.

The event recorded strong participation, drawing stakeholders from all seven LGAs in a festive atmosphere marked by unity, appreciation, and shared optimism for continued progress under purposeful leadership.
