First, I celebrate your conferment with the Honorary Doctorate Degree (Doctor of Humanities, Honoris Causa) by Modibbo Adama University, Yola, in North-Eastern Nigeria. 

This prestigious academic recognition affirms your intellectual depth, public service record, and outstanding contributions to governance and national development.

Equally remarkable is your honour as The Sun Most Distinguished Governor of the Year 2025, an award that reflects your exceptional leadership, visionary governance, and measurable impact on the lives of the people of Cross River State.

That these two significant honours were bestowed on the same day speaks volumes about your sterling leadership qualities, integrity, and unwavering commitment to good governance. 

They are a clear testament that your people-oriented policies, purposeful administration, and strong grassroots connection continue to earn national recognition and respect.

Your style of governance-anchored on inclusiveness, development, and compassion-has resonated deeply with the ordinary people of Cross River State and beyond, making these recognitions both well-deserved and merited.

BREAKING NEWS: Youths of Ikot Ansa Nab Vandals Destroying Public Utilities, Hand Over to Authorities for Prosecution

  In a combined effort to curb the rampant vandalism of public utilities in Cross River State, the youth leader of Ikot Ansa, Prince, Victor Otu Iso JR, alongside his community, successfully apprehended criminals involved in the destruction of vital public infrastructure. The vandals were caught red-handed this morning, 13th day of September 2024, as they attempted to steal Amor cables belonging to state transformers at Ekpo Iso. Acting swiftly, the youth leader invited the Special Adviser on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe KSM, and his counterpart on General Duties, Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba, to the scene.   The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr.
