Senator Eteng Continues to Light Up the Central Senatorial District

The Distinguished Senator representing the Central Senatorial District, Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, has continued his remarkable efforts to lighten the district through the widespread installation of solar-powered street lights.

Driven by a clear vision for safer and more developed communities, Senator Eteng has remained intentional in his commitment to bring light to even the most remote areas of the district. His solar streetlight project is not just about infrastructure, it is about enhancing safety, and supporting economic activity, especially after dark.

One of the areas already benefiting from this initiative is Ikom Local Government Area, where several wards have seen the successful installation of solar lights. The following wards have received these much-needed improvements:

Akparabong Ward, Ikom Urban Ward 1, Yala Nkum Ward, Nde Ward and Nnam Ward.

For residents of these wards, the solar lights have brought a new sense of security and comfort. People can now move around freely at night, small businesses can operate longer, and social activities can safely continue into the evening. The lights have also served as a deterrent to criminal activity, making the environment safer for everyone.

Grateful community members have expressed their appreciation to the Senator, describing the project as a major step forward. Many have shared how the lights have already begun to reset their daily routines, allowing them to feel safer and more connected even after sunset.

“These lights are a blessing,” one resident shared. “We can now walk at night without fear and our markets can stay open longer. We are truly thankful to Senator Eteng.”

Senator Eteng Jonah Williams remains committed to extending this project to more parts of the Central Senatorial District.

With each streetlight installed, Senator Eteng sends a clear message, progress is reaching every corner of Central, and the future is bright; literally and figuratively.
