  The Deputy Governor of Cross River State , Rt. Hon. Peter Odey , on Saturday inspected the newly constructed Stadium Road in Ogoja Local Government Area as part of the state government's commitment to ensuring quality infrastructure delivery. Odey, who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure , Hon. Dr. Pius Ankpo Edet , assessed the completed road project aimed at improving connectivity and boosting socio-economic activities in the area. The inspection, according to government officials, forms part of the administration's routine monitoring of ongoing and completed infrastructure projects across the state to ensure they meet the expected standards and deliver value to residents.   The Feed a Hungry Child with Briana Foundation (FAHCWB) paid a follow-up visit to Bebuabong Community Primary School in Obudu, Cross River State, on July 2nd, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to the community’s children. More than 100 pupils received notebooks, reasoning textbooks, and socks during the outreach. Beyond the material support, foundation members spent time with the pupils discussing three core values; ambition, confidence, and kindness, that the organization hopes will stay with them throughout their lives.   For connecting all the senatorial districts of Bayelsa State to Yenagoa, the state capital, the South South Development Commission, SSDC, is excited with the state governor, Senator Douye Diri. This was the position of the commission’s managing director, and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Usoro Akpabio, during a visit to Diri in Yenagoa. At the visit, she said the mandate of the commission was central to the region’s economic, environmental and developmental aspirations.   The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has recorded another significant research milestone as three of its academics emerged successful in the latest Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) National Research Fund (NRF) cycle through two separate research projects. Professors Emmanuel Uttah and George Iniodu of the Department of Animal and Environmental Biology were named Principal Investigators on project number 66, while Engr. Professor Joseph Onah Ukpata of the Department of Civil Engineering is Co-Researcher on project number 107 led by a Principal Investigator based in Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai .
