From Promises to Progress: Mike Etaba Delivers Jobs, Classrooms, Tangible Change for Obubra/Etung

By Paddy Tom, Ph.D In recent times, I have observed with keen interest the evolving performance of Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, the Member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Environment. There has been so much talk about whether our representative is an “onlooker” or an active player in the national arena. The facts before us now speak for themselves: he is not only active, but strategic in his approach. Within August 2025 alone, Rt. Hon. Recently, when Cornel was named ‘The Most Impactful Lecturer’ at the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), I felt a wave of emotions; joy, pride, nostalgia, but above all, deep gratitude. For a second term running, Cornel has remained the Head of Department of Journalism and Media Studies in the Faculty of Communication Technology at UNICROSS. This is no small feat.
