NMA partners Cross River State Government in Community Health Outreach

  In an effort to meet some of the less privileged members of the society and offer them unequivocal , dynamic and quality healthcare, the Cross River State Government has partnered with the Nigerian Medical Association , Cross River State Chapter in organizing a medical Outreach in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital. The outreach which witnessed over 800 beneficiaries drawn across several wards in Calabar Municipal Area Council, is said to be a complimentary effort by all and sundry to improve the health and wellness of all categories of people including pregnant, nursing, aged and young people in the society. Attempted Murder: Court Remand Couple Who Beat Up Police PRO In Calabar

  By Patrick Obia A Magistrates Court sitting in Moore road, Calabar has remanded a couple Mr. and Mrs. Effiom Nsefik who allegedly beat up the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force, Cross River State Command – ASP Irene Ugbo. In suit No. MC/225/2022 between the Commissioner of Police versus Eyo Effiom Nsefik and Miranda Eyo Effiom, the couple is charged with conspiracy and attempted murder on the Police Spokesman. The Prosecuting Counsel, Barrister. Ofem Ubi moved four grounds for application of motion experte supported with five paragraphs affidavit to detain the suspects to enable the police to carry out further investigation. The Counsel relied on sections 516 and 320 of Criminal Code, cap C16, Volume 3, the law of Cross River State, 2004, to remand the suspects. Anambra State Governor, Prof. Soludo Suspends Newly Appointed Chairman For Beating His Wife To Death

The Governor of Anambra State Prof Chukwuma Soludo has Suspended the newly appointed Transition Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area Hon Mbaulike Iloka for allegedly beating his wife to death on Sunday. It was alleged that Hon. Mbazulike's wife caught him when he picked some young ladies she suspected to be his side chick at the event they attended on Saturday evening, which she tried to stop him but to no avail.  According to the family members and friends of late Mrs. Chidiebere Iloka, they disclosed that he beat his wife to death over a heated argument between the couples on Sunday morning because of what happened at the event they attended on Saturday evening.  Hon. Couple Beat Up Cross River Police PRO, Irene Ugbo

Husband and wife, Mr. And Mrs. Effiom Nsefik have allegedly beaten up the Public Relations Officer of Nigerian Police Force, Cross River State Command, ASP Irene Ugbo. DSP Igri Ewa, Deputy PPRO who confirmed the incident to CrossRiverWatch, said the Police spokesman – Irene was attacked by the couple who happens to be her neighbor while she was leaving for the office. According to DSP Igri, the incident took place at Nsefik Layout off Marian road, Calabar where Irene waded in to call for calm in an altercation between her landlord and the younger brother Mr. Effiom. In what is viewed as a transfer of aggression from Mr. Effiom who claims Irene is coming in as a Police officer, rained assault which the wife followed suit.
