Akwa Ibom State Primary Healthcare Development Agency commend CRSPHCDA on Sustainable Healthcare, Seek Collaboration To Strengthen Healthcare Delivery

 

The Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency and it's counterpart from Akwa Ibom state are set to collaborate to create a robust health system in the South South geographical region.

The resolution was met when a team of  Management  staff  of the Akwa Ibom state Primary Healthcare Development Agency led by the Executive Secretary paid a one day working and experience sharing  visit to Cross River State to seek ways of fostering a more harmonious working relationship and advancement of health services in  both states.

Receiving the Executive Secretary and her team, the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong applauded the team for the visit as she pledged the state's willingness to offer both capacity and technical support to the agency while also congratulating the new Executive Secretary for taking Healthcare in Akwa Ibom state to the grassroot which has produced Optimal results.

She further pledged for an improved working relationship between both states primary health care agencies to improve  various services  including maternal and child health services which are driving forces to the actualization of Universal Health Coverage.

"I must Congratulte you for bringing new energy to the Akwa Ibom state Primary Healthcare Development Agency, many people are beginning to feel the impact of the agency in the grassroot now.We are glad to have you here, we are sister states and there's huge perculiarity between our states, and that is why we are willing to offer both technical and capacity building to ensure that knowledge and skills are shared".

On her part, the Executive Secretary of the Akwa Ibom state Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr Eno Attah applauded the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency for the numerous milestones of achievements gained as she described it as one of the leading primary health care providers in the country.

She said ,though the agency is still growing, lots of it's breakthroughs and innovative ideas are worth emulating by her state and team hence the need for knowledge sharing , collaboration and possible development of joint policies which can be adopted by the nation using both states as case studies.

"We are here to understudy Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, to know how you operate, and to seek for technical support on how we can make our own Agency provide improved services to our people. Am certain that with collaborations like this, we (Cross River State and Akwa Ibom state)can dsign a program perculiar to both states as a model for National Primary Healthcare Development Agency to adopt and use across the country. Cross River State may not be there yet ,but you have made and recorded huge success which has made you one of the leading PHC providers in the South South region".

They further thanked the Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency and her team for the warm reception and support which she said will remain in their hearts for a long time.

The Executive Secretary was accompanied by some Directors in her Agency while they were received by other Directors and principal staff in the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
