DG Congratulates Dr Faisal Shuaib On His Reappointment as ED,NPHCDA

 



The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr Janet Ekpenyong has congratulated the Executive Secretary of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr Faisal Shuaib on his reappointment as the chief Executive officer of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency for another tenure of four years.


Dr Ekpenyong said his reappointment was an act of justification and as a result of hard work of total commitment which has seen the  Nigerian health sector  improve on its laurels especially in the fight against various infectious diseases and improving Primary Healthcare services across the country.


She wished him luck and more achievements in the next four years as Nigeria commits to the actualization of Universal Health Coverage which will bring healthcare closer to the people,with more affordable, accessible and people oriented Services.


On behalf of myself and the entire management and staff of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency warmly Congratulte Dr Faisal Shuaib for his reappointment as the Executive Secretary of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency.This has shown that hardwork pays and deligence in service is recognized. I must commend you for your laudable and innovative ideas which have brought light to the health sector with the most visible one being the elimination of the wild polio virus which ravaged the lives of millions of families over the years.

Very often you have advocated for very laudable initiatives like the establishment of fixed, temporary and mobile health post to take healthcare to the doorsteps of everyone especially Immunization and maternal health services, today the world recognizes that approach as the best way in fixing challenges in sub Saharan Africa and developing nation's as well.

I am courageous of the fact that your reappointment to serve for another four years will consolidates on the gains made and also bring a notable and more glimpse of light to Nigeria's health sector as we continue to push to achieve Universal Health Coverage.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
