My Ambition is to be a Peace Ambassador; Williams as he receives Eminent Peace Ambassadors Award By Trinity Jesam




Today 23rd Day of December 2020 was truly a day to be reckoned with as the 9th Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams received Eminent Peace Ambassador's Award as end of year gift.


The Eminent Peace Ambassador was also bestowed on Rt. Hon. Hilary E. Bisong, for his significant support for peace development in Cross River State, Nigeria and the globe.



International Association of World Peace Advocates honours government officials, whose exemplary efforts has significant improvement of lives of others in the society and the world in general.


Receiving the Award, the Speaker noted that Cross River State has shown the whole world that we can keep our shoulders for our brothers and sisters to lean on and even in the state we have been able to keep refugees in our state.


He also used the opportunity to preach peace by urging everyone to make peace with one another.


Speaker assured the body of partnership and the involvement of all assembly members in the organization activities while he will look into the documents they presented to him


In conclusion Speaker opined that it has always been his ambition to be a Peace Ambassador, which he described today as a shortcut to his ambition, and to him it was a great honour.


" I will like to work for the world and Humanity" Speaker.


Earlier the International Association of world Peace Advocate, United Nations ECOSOC STATUS led by their World Peace President, His Excellency Amb Per Stafsen visited the Speaker and his colleagues to witness the epoch making event of conferring on the Speaker Eminent Peace Ambassadors Award.


The award also accompanied the following documents;

1. Charter of the United Nations and Statute of the international Court of Justice- SAN FRANCISCO 1945

2. The Constitution of International Association of world Peace Advocates

3. 400 Bible verses of Peace

4. Transforming our World: the 2030 agenda for sustainable development

5. Paris Agreement (United Nations)

6. ECOSOC Resolution.


Also appreciating the body, honourable members pleaded to be also recognized as Ambassadors of Peace by the International Association of world Peace Advocates, United Nations ECOSOC STATUS.
