No position has been swapped in Cross River Anti-deforestation Taskforce, says Hon. Emmanuel Asegem




Hon. Emmanuel Asegem, the Director of Operations of Cross River Anti-deforestation Taskforce has advised members of the public to disregard any purported posting of members and swapping of positions that was made by Mr Agan Modey and Mr Dan Ushie.


In a statement signed by Hon. Emmanuel Asegem, he said that both the Chairman and the Secretary have not been able to arrest even truck of wood since their appointment in May 2020.


"The only functional Anti deforestation Taskforce is the one made up of Hon. Asegem Emmanuel, DG operation, Mr Ishone Ayim, team leader north, Mr Fred Anthotant, team leader central, Mr Suny Ajock, member north, Mr John Egri Onwu member central, Mr Dom offere, member central, Mr Emma Abu, member north and Mr willson Ekpeyong, Acting Secretary, 


"This is the only team that submitted their end of the year report to his Excellency the Governor of Cross River State on the success so far recorded.


"The rest failed woefully. There are after collection; we remain committed to our duties. Mostly, this year 2021, we will deliver on our mandate," the statement said.


Asegem called on all the security agents to take note of the announcement and give the team all necessary assistance they would need to succeed.

BREAKING NEWS: Youths of Ikot Ansa Nab Vandals Destroying Public Utilities, Hand Over to Authorities for Prosecution

  In a combined effort to curb the rampant vandalism of public utilities in Cross River State, the youth leader of Ikot Ansa, Prince, Victor Otu Iso JR, alongside his community, successfully apprehended criminals involved in the destruction of vital public infrastructure.
