Commissioner For Sports and Cinematography Boosts Rovers Players Moral

 



The moral of players, technical crew and officials of Rovers Football Club Calabar, today received a boost after the Honourable Commissioner for Sports and Cinematography, Chief Offu Aya, rapport with them during a friendly match at Saint Patrick's football field, Ikot Ansa, Calabar.


The match is part of preparations for this Saturday's away encounter with Delta Force FC in Asaba, Delta State.


The Commissioner for Sports blended so well with the players, as he sat on the field with them while engaging in a chat.

He thanked the team for last Saturday's 3-0 victory over Dynamite Force FC.


Chief Aya pleaded with the players to be patient as His Excellency, Prof. Ben Ayade, was doing everything to ensure their happiness, adding that their days of blush was over and that it was a time of bliss.

While asking the players to remained focus, the Hon. Commissioner reminded them that Rovers FC target is to secure promotion to the nation's elite league.


He also thanked the management and technical crew of the Club, led by the Chairman, Mr Ejen Ebam for their good work.


Speaking on behalf of the management, the Club's Chairman assured the Commissioner that Rovers FC would do their best to make the state proud. He therefore pleaded for necessary support to complement their efforts.


Also, the captain of the team, Asuquo Inyang, thanked the Hon. Commissioner and assured him that the players would remained focus. He told him that they need support to enable them give more.

Engr. Egbe Commends Governor Otu for Flag-Off of Subsidized Mini Tractors Distribution

​UNICROSS Announces 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening, Introduces 19 New Programmes

​The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially announced the commencement of its First Choice Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session . The university has also unveiled 19 newly approved undergraduate academic programmes across its campuses. ​According to an official notice signed by the University Registrar, Dr. (Mrs) Catherine Ndifon Osai, eligible candidates include UTME applicants who chose UNICROSS as their First Choice and scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME.
