SEN. GERSHOM BASSEY FACILITATES DISBURSEMENT OF SURVIVAL FUND TO OVER 150 CONSTITUENTS, EMPOWERS AKAMKPA ARTISANS



The Senator representing, Cross River Southern senatorial district, Sen. Gershom Bassey, earlier in March,  facilitated the disbursement of N30,000 each to over 150 constituents from the 7 local government Areas that makes up the Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State.


A stakeholder from Akamkpa local government Area, Mr Asim Paulinus who spoke on behalf of beneficiaries from the LGA  said the beneficiaries were very grateful to the capacity Senator, "God bless our Distinguish Senator Gershom Bassey as about thirty (30) beneficiaries from Akamkpa Local Government Area just received alert of thirty thousand naira (N30,000. 00) as Survival Fund as facilitated by our Capacity Senator. My people are very grateful." He said.


Another set of artisans from Akamkpa LGA, were also empowered with start up kits by the distinguished senator. The Senator distributed, machines to proficient vulcanizers across the 10 wards of Akamkpa LGA (Akamkpa 1 & 2 state constituencies).


The Senator who was represented by Barr Ekpo Ada during the empowerment exercise stated that, Sen. Bassey's empowerment wasn't targeted at the rich but the ordinary man who are facing difficulties in other to make them self dependent. He urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the items and better themselves.

BREAKING NEWS: Youths of Ikot Ansa Nab Vandals Destroying Public Utilities, Hand Over to Authorities for Prosecution

  In a combined effort to curb the rampant vandalism of public utilities in Cross River State, the youth leader of Ikot Ansa, Prince, Victor Otu Iso JR, alongside his community, successfully apprehended criminals involved in the destruction of vital public infrastructure. The vandals were caught red-handed this morning, 13th day of September 2024, as they attempted to steal Amor cables belonging to state transformers at Ekpo Iso. Engr. Egbe Commends Governor Otu for Flag-Off of Subsidized Mini Tractors Distribution

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr.
