APC Ward Appointees led by the Commissioner Eric Anderson shower Christmas gift to Ward Members in Calabar



In the spirit of Christmas celebration, the Cross River State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Eric Iso Anderson alongside State Appointees from the Ward, has distributed various gifts, including chicken, bag of rice and cash among others, to over 500 members of Ward 5 in Calabar Municipal.



The Commissioner while thanking members of the Ward for coming out appreciated God for the Grace to be alive to witness another Christmas celebration and explained that his intention is to take advantage of the yuletide to put smiles on the faces of youths, women, widows and psychologically integrate them into the Christmas celebration.


He stated that God empowers people to empower others and observed that if the privileged few overlooked the masses, they would be failing in their responsibility as succor givers, imploring the rich to always show kindness to the poor and the needy by towing the footpaths of Gov. Ben Ayade.


He said: “I want to commend other Appointees who supported the process  , for being an outstanding leaders in their various zones, who has been resolute in protecting the rights of the people. His Excellency's  food on the table programmes have empowered a lot of youths into becoming business magnets.


Appreciating the gesture, the APC Youth Leader in the Ward, Effiom Archibong Eso who spoke on behalf of others, expressed joy over the Christmas Gifts splashed on them by the Commissioner for Tourism and other Appointees of the Ward by pointed out that the gifts have rekindled hope for them as they can comfortably celebrate Christmas and New Year festivals with members of their families.


The Ward Chairman, Mr Alex  Essien said the courageous connection to the community was the best thing to happen to Cross River State and indeed the entire Political Ward and zone, imploring the the people to continue supporting  His Excellency Senator Prof Ben Ayade in his pursuit of a  Southern Governor, come 2023, describing the agitating as a laudable project which even the opposition that kicked against Gov. Ayade's defection had finally found germane.


Some of the State Ward Appointees who Supported the process includes Mr Effiom Trombone, S.A Entertainment, Mr Richard Otu, Mr Emmanuel Ekpenyong, Gabriel Etim and S.A Public Infrastructure, Ekanem Charles Lawrence.
