"Man with a Midas' Touch": UNICROSS Alumni President Extols Ayade @54



The National President of University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association Comrade Eyam Abeng has joined the family, friends, Associates, lovers and fans of the Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade to celebrate the amiable mentor and defender of youths on the occasion of his 54th birthday today, describing him as a  Man with the Midas' Touch given his giant stride achievements in the state even amidst very lean resources.


The UNICROSS Alumni Boss who made this known via a Birthday Felicitation message signed by him and made available to the media, used the opportunity to eulogize Prof Ben Ayade for the meritorious efforts he has made to empower and encourage the youths of Cross River extraction and beyond. "This has gone far to quell agitations by youths and has equally help to reduced crime rate in the state generally", he remarked.


Comrade Abeng noted that the Governor has been very passionate about UNICROSS and has demonstrated enormous comradeship and professorship through his timely supports, interventions and visitations which is today yielding visible and expected results. "We the graduates of CRUTECH/UNICROSS will remain gratful to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the State for the magnanimity, generousity, confidence and support for the total restoration of the glory of our University and also for considering most of our members to serve under his capable leadership and tutelage. Sincerely, no Governor has ever impacted this much on us like Senator Ben Ayade, hence the need to always celebrate him as an Alumni of the school."


Comrade Abeng who doubles as the Chairman of PENGASSAN Lagos Zone, wishes the Governor successes, long life in good health and abundance as he will be aspiring to serve the people even in more higher responsibilities in the near future.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
