CYRIL JAMES OMINI EXTENDS HANDS OF CHARITY TO UGEP URBAN MARKET WOMEN UNION




In line with H.E. Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade's drive to alleviate poverty by Youth involvement in governance, the Special Assistant, to the Governor on Security, Yakurr, Hon. Cyril James Omini, extends hands of charity to Ugep Urban Market Women Union in a meeting which was held in the noon hours of Sunday, 10th day of April, 2022 at the Yakurr Local Government Council Guest House, Ugep.


Hon. Cyril James Omini, in his remarks expressed gratitude to God for sustainability and grace. He admonished the market women in attendance to debunk the usual cry of neglect often experienced as a result of unfulfilled political promises over the years.


According to him, " I am a product of the governor Ayade's benevolence, and I am always willing to lend a hand of support to market women as this is not the first neither will it be last. Truly, meeting of this nature has been helpful to identify your challenges and plights, which will enable us profer possible solutions/support for live sustainability".


By the words of the women who expressed joy unspeakable tagged the event an epoch occasion, as it has never been held in the entirety of Yakurr, that women were remembered in this high magnitude.


The market women who chanted high praises held strong, believe that as market women and food baskets of the society, they contribute meaningfully to the existence of the Ugep Urban populace, hence having them at heart is having the entire Ugep community at heart.


The President of the group, Mrs. Grace Iyam Ogwa, appreciated the SA Security, for his kind gesture of giving back to the society, she in consonance expressed satisfaction over the governor Ayade's leadership ability of bringing governance to the grassroots by appointing Ugep sons and daughters into various political offices.


Moreso, market women leaders of the various wards in Ugep Urban, viz; Mrs. Martina Paulinus; Mrs. Mary Omini Bassey, couldn't hide their feeling of joy for this remarkable event, as they sang praises and pledged support for the leadership of the day.


In response, Hon. Cyril James, reassured the women that this excercise is a continuous one, as long they are still socketed to the center.
