APC NATIONAL WOMEN LEADER SENDS A MESSAGE OF CONGRATULATION TO All FEMALE FLAG BEARERS



Bearly two (2) Months in office, the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr Betta Edu has achieve great feat in the women wing of the party, she congratulates all


Female Flag bearers flagging the party ticket on their emergence as winners of the just concluded Governorship, State/ Federal House of Assembly and the Senate primaries election held on 26th – 27th May, 2022.


She expressed her overwhelming joy and thanks to God Almighty through her correspondence as results triggered in with good representation of Female Candidates emergence.


She also extends her gratitude to wife of the President Dr. Aisha Buhari for her relentless effort in leading the push and mainstreaming women into politics and governance as she thanked the past leaders of the women wing noting that their efforts had not been in vain.


In her word she reiterate: “What a way to celebrate two months in office as National Women Leader… this Joy is plenty ohhhhh… God we thank you! Our mother Dr Aisha, and indeed all our past leaders our efforts are paying off.”


She appreciates all contenders of the primaries while encouraging those who did not make it through the primaries to take it in good fate and maintain calm as other opportunities will avail in the future.


Speaking further she also advise all contenders to remain firm, resolute and always making a difference and impact as leaders wherever they found themselves.


Dr. Betta also appreciates state delegates, state party chairmen, critical stakeholders, media crew, National party representatives, various State Governors for their admirable zeal, candour and party spirit in the swift and peaceful conduct of the primaries election in their


respective states. The National Women Leader, enjoins all party flag bearers especially the women wing, relevant stakeholders and party stalwarts not to relent in canvasing for votes in order to secure the future gains of the fortunes of ballots in the 2023 general election.


However, to attain all of the above, she said all hands must be on desk because there are greater task ahead in the electioneering process where the party will have to slog it out with other opposition parties.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR

  The Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Cross River State, Professor Francisca Bassey, has expressed concern over the gravity of damage of the University's structures recorded in the wake of the rainstorm which swept through Calabar city yesterday, the 7th of May, 2025.  The Acting Vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director of Administration,  Professor Tom Ojikpong, expressed this concern when she led members of the University's management team on an on-the-spot inspection of the affected buildings in Calabar campus of the University.
