Central Senatorial Primary: Obubra, Abi, and Yakurr say no negotiations for Williams






As the Consultations of Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams on Sunday gained momentum, Obubra, Abi, and Yakurr Chapter Chairmen, wards Chairmen and Secretaries said nothing interests them more than the emergence of a good man Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams as the party's flag bearer for the Central Senatorial Race.


In a meeting with the Speaker, at their various local government areas, informed the Speaker that their decisions to adopt him are in the interest of the people and the party.


At Obubra, Chapter Chairman noted that Williams has invested in the state and party, it is time for a reward.


On the part of the Local Government Chairman of Yakurr, Hon. Ofem Ebri Obeten prayed to God to grant Mr. Speaker success at the primary and put it on record that Williams made him Chairman and Yakurr had decided to follow Mr. Speaker and support his Aspirations.


The Chairman of Abi, Hon. Robinson on his side said that Abi is the second home of Mr. Speaker and we have agreed to support and vote for him at the primary.


Chairman added that the Speaker has the qualities, of a good leader, and experience, he can facilitate development for the Central people and Abi Local Government.


He concluded that many have benefited from Williams's benevolence including him, and it is time to reciprocate it at the primary.


Member representing Abi, Hon. Davis told the people of Abi that he brought a good product and a good product sells itself, don't be decisive, this is the government direction.


Among those in the entourage of the Speaker, are Rt. Hon. Hillary Bisong, Hon. Elvert, Hon. Davis, Hon. Chris, Hon. Inah Ibor, Leader Of Leaders, All Councillors of Central Senatorial District, Past House of Assembly members,  Executive Chairmen of Central Senatorial District, among others.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements.
