Peace Corps to Support Best Candidate to Emerge As Governor of Cross River State....Dr. Dominic Okweche

The State Commandant Patriot (Dr.) Okweche Dominic Odey thanked the Governorship candidate for the visit. He commended him for outlining blueprints that have direct benefits for the people. He urged him and the team to continue to hope for the best, for, in the end, he is confident that the best candidate would emerge. 

"And Peace Corps of Nigeria, Cross River State will support the best Candidate and will make a valid statement and the statement will run from the command to the divisions.

 Earlier the Cross River State Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Comrade Effiom Okokon described Peace Corps as an endearing organization that had attracted many because of its activities, aimed at changing and repositioning society to part of Peace and harmony. 


He said this when he visited the State Command Office in Calabar, to consult and seek support and partnership for the 2023 election. 


Comrade Okokon who hails from Akpabuyo Local Government Area said he is a proponent of zoning and in total support of the Southern part of the State to produce the next Governor. He said, he is energetic, a youth, and has a lot to offer the State if elected. His ambition is a value drive aspiration to bring succor to the people.


He talked about revitalizing and bringing vitality to Health, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development, Tourism, and Security to give the people a total sense of belonging. 

In the company of the SDP Governorship candidate was his Deputy, Comrade Dan Obo Jnr., the Cross River State House of Assembly candidate for Obubra 1 Constituency, TPL Ernest Joe another top party faithful.

Engr. Jerome Egbe Visits NSCDC Command for Strategic Partnership on Public Utilities

  The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.  The visit centered on establishing a strategic partnership to protect and secure public utilities across the state from vandals and criminal elements. UNICROSS ACTING VC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER DAMAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUCTURES AFTER RAINSTORM IN CALABAR
