A former Youth coordinator of the People's Democratic Party in Mejeje unit, Ochubi ward in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State, Otogor Peter Ohobu has defected to the All Progressives Congress with several youths on Saturday.
Speaking during a thank you tour by Hon. Jude Ngaji, member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly to Okpoma in Yala LGA, Ohobu noted that he was a committed member of the party but was disatisfied by some ill-treatment meted on him by the party. However, he confessed to have been having sleepless nights since he left to the PDP as he had been thinking of Jude Ngaji whom he said is his brother as they share the same ward.
"Hon. Jude, I must say it here now that even when I sleep I have always been thinking of you, I have been thinking of you because you are a good man who have affected several lives, I left the party because I wasn't happy but today because of you and hon. Regina Anyago I have decided to return to join hands with you and ensure the party's victory from top to bottom."
Speaking earlier the former Security Adviser to governor Ayade said Yala needs to vote for the APC from top to bottom in the 5 ballots that will be casted in February and March next to sustain the good works of the governor. He said he didn't come for campaign but only came to appreciate them for previous support and celebrate the festive season with them.
In her speech, Rt. Hon. Regina Ayango, who represents Yala 1 state constituency in the state house of Assembly called on the people to vote for their future and that of their children as it is only the All Progressives Congress that can fix all the challenges they are facing.
The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Public Utilities, Engr. Dr. Jerome Egbe, KSM, today, October 8, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River Command, Mr. Brown Charles, in Calabar.
