Ahead of the 2023 general election ballot gains the PCC Directorate of Election Planning & Monitoring headed by H.E Babatunde Fashola organized a day train the trainers workshop that had the Winning APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Tinubu, National Chairman, DG of campaign, Governor El RUFAI and the ebullient National Women Leader of APC Dr Betta Edu as speakers. The Next President Asiwaju Tinubu addresses the trainers of Polling Unit agent to take the exercise seriously and read the manual as many times as possible to internalize and train others. He said the entire nation is dependent on them to properly train and provide daily report of what is going on in the various Units. “ This is the core of the entire electioneering process, and we must work in sincerity and great commitment. It is not about me as Tinubu but about the destiny of a great nation, Nigeria. We are working for the greatness of our country, we are working to improve lives, the economy, security, healthcare,education, etc, so concentrate and let’s get a great job done. Tinubu said women play a critical role in nation-building, and I am glad I have seen a great number of women involved in this process. We will continue to support and mainstream our women in the political space. It is your time, women! It’s our time, Nigeria; the time is now! Speaking, Dr. Betta Edu explained in clear terms the involment of women in election management process and the result it will bring noting that women will go out with all the passion to do the election work in all sincerity of purpose. She attested to the fact that women are always the first to bring to attention any discrepancy found on the election field for necessary action. Conversly, Dr. Edu retrated that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is one man who always recognize the role of women in nation building and so she tasked all women to sit up and work hard to deliver the win for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Presidential candidate of the ruling party APC. In her word, as quoted, " *this is our time.. winning this election is sacrosanct*" therefore she task all participants to take the training very seriously and return back to their various state to fully train those involved in the electoral process & monitoring as party Agents and Canvassers. Notably, Dr. Edu charge participants to break down all what they have been taught into their various different local languages so that party Agents can understand & comprehend what they are supposed to do at the polling units for optimal result without compromise. She reiterates that the training was a call for action, proactiveiness & monitoring with all due diligence and with all sincerity of purpose as she noted that the destiny of this nation, lies in how dedicated they will be in up coming process. Finally, she thanked the APC National Chairman Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, PCC Director Election Planning & Monitoring, the Hon. Minister of Works and Housing Engr. Babatunde Fashola & members of his team for putting together such excellent TOT training.
